Dueling Peaks Tour

# 1 – Bosh Kala Shrine

This sanctuary is on the west side of the Hylia River, south of Proxim Bridge, and is completely dedicated to your paraglider.

Go up the stairs to the left to slide to the first treasure chest on the platform on the right.

Go back down and head to the next room. The fan here will take you to the next platform where you can reach the altar and finish.

If you want the chest, stay in the current of the wind until you are almost parallel to the chest, then turn to it and land on the platform.

# 2 – Hila Rao Shrine

Hila Rao Shrine is located on the Floret Sandbar, north of Dueling Peaks Tower, and between the Horwell and Eagus Bridges.

Follow the path clockwise through the flowers to avoid the dire consequences of stepping on them.

Once inside, cross the stream using the wooden raft. If that’s too fast for you, don’t forget your Stasis ability.

The next stream is bigger and you’ll have to cross three rafts to get to the other side. There is a metal chest in the water near the opposite side, so you use Magnesis to lift it up.

Use Cryonis in the next room to get within range of the destructible wall and throw a bomb on it. There is a chest in the water here that you can lift with an ice pillar.

# 3 – Ha Dahamar Shrine

You’ll find this sanctuary near the Dueling Peaks Stable and it’s surrounded by surprisingly deadly giant brambles. Go around them by climbing on the platform near the shrine and sliding down. They will disappear once you complete the shrine.

Navigate the first two platforms using Cryonis. Before going up the steps, use Cryonis to create a horizontal ice platform in the waterfall and jump to reach the chest.

The final puzzle requires you to position three blocks of ice on the wall to redirect the orb into its hole.

The first should be at the bottom of the seesaw, on the right side, and the second should be higher, directly below the left side of the seesaw. This will keep him from tipping over when the ball lands on it and give him the extra bit of platform he needs to get through the hole.

The final block should be positioned in line with the end of the first ramp and slightly to the left.

The ball should now roll down, hit the block at the end of the ramp, fall onto the seesaw which will not be able to tip, thanks to the block below, then roll onto the next block at the end of the seesaw, and roll onto the platform below and in its hole.

# 4 – Ree Dahee Shrine

This sanctuary is located between the Dueling Peaks. It’s on the shore across from the road. Just climb the cliff to the first ledge and follow the path west to find it at the end.

Step on the floor switch to release and orb that will roll onto the tilted platform into its hole. Travel through space using the activated mobile platform.

Again, use the switch on the ground to release an orb, but you’ll need to deactivate the switch before the orb reaches the end to flip it over to the platform on the right and into its hole. Think of it as a pinball machine and you should be figuring it out in no time. Bring the moving platform to the other side.

To get the chest, use Magensis to requisition a metal barrel from the platform below and bring it back to the previous floor switch. Pop the cannon on it to hold it down and return to the moving platform. You can now go up the ramp to retrieve the chest. You can also use Stasis on the Switch, but the Barrel is the less stressful method. I should know that. I only discovered the barrels afterwards.

# 5 – Shee Vaneer Shrine

Climb to the southern summit of Dueling Peak and you’ll find this shrine sitting at the top.

The sister shrine, Shee Venath, sits atop the North Peak, and both shrines have a pattern on the ground that needs to be recreated in their twin.

With each column numbered one to five from left to right, and going from the row to the end of the room and down to the entrance, the solution is 5, 1, 2, 4, 2.

Before you leave, take the elevator to the observation deck, jump, and use your paraglider to drift around the wall to the left and onto the ledge with a chest on it.

# 6 – Shee Venath Shrine

This shrine sits almost at the very top of the north of Dueling Peak and is best accessed by walking down from Shee Vaneer Shrine.

You need to rearrange the orbs to recreate the pattern on the floor of sister shrine, Shee Vaneer.

With each column numbered one through five from left to right, and going from the row to the end of the room and down to the entrance, the solution is 2, 4, 1, 3, 5.

# 7 – Toto Sah Sanctuary

This sanctuary is located southeast of Dueling Peaks and is hidden behind a destructible wall along the river flowing down from the waterfall. Incidentally, Misko’s Treasure, the Bandit’s side quest is at the top of the waterfall.

Go up on the rock in the middle of the river and throw a bomb on the wall opposite. The current will carry it to the wall and you can detonate it to reach the shrine.

The puzzles here use the gyroscope in the controllers. Rotate the first pillar to form a bridge to the opposite platform, but you have to flip it to reveal the chest on the underside.

The second puzzle requires you to line up the three sets of steps so that you can use them to reach the next platform. Gently move the controller to line them up, then tilt them so that they go from bottom to top.

For the third puzzle, you have to reach the chest because it contains a key which you need to progress. Turn your controller over and arrange the platform so that the chest is at the top of the ramp.

Now turn the platform from the right side up, slide the stairs to the right and turn it so that you can climb onto the platform. Use the key on the door on the platform at the top and we’re done here.

# 8 – Ta’Loh Naeg Shrine

This shrine is located in the village of Kakariko. Follow the path up the hill behind the village to find it.

This is basically a combat tutorial, so just follow the onscreen instructions, collect the treasure from all three chests and fanny is your aunt.

# 9 – Lakna Rokee Shrine

The Kakariko Shrine quest The Stolen Legacy will lead you to this shrine, but you must first complete the Steal the Co-op, By the Light of the Firefly, and Find the Fairy Fountain side quests.
Publicity

It’s worth following the first two suspects just to see what they’re up to, but when you’re ready to head to the shrine, wait until nightfall and you’ll spot Guard Dorian running up the hill.

Follow him until he crosses the bridge and comes to the clearing on the other side. Following him through will trigger a cutscene and a fight will ensue. Ice Arrows are especially useful if your weapons aren’t shiny as they’ll give you a sure opening to get some shots.

After the battle, place the orb in its socket and enter the sanctuary. Take the treasure and examine the altar to clean it.
